Method
- Start by washing and drying the baby potatoes. Cut them into halves or quarters, depending on their size.
- Toss the potatoes in a bowl with 1 tablespoon olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the air-fryer to 200°C (about 400°F) for 2 minutes.
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer in the air-fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Meanwhile, drizzle the salmon fillets with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- After the potatoes have cooked for 10 minutes, move them to one side of the basket and place the salmon fillets skin-side down.
- Air-fry everything together for another 7–8 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the potatoes are golden and crispy.
- Plate the salmon and potatoes, squeeze fresh lemon over the top, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
My Tips to Make the Best Jamie Oliver Air-fryer Salmon with Crispy Potatoes
- Always preheat the air-fryer to ensure the potatoes start crisping up immediately.
- Do not overcrowd the basket; giving space around the salmon and potatoes helps them cook evenly.
- Choose salmon fillets of even thickness to avoid overcooking.
- For extra crispy potatoes, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before air-frying.
